Biographical Sketch:       Daniel Keenan O’Neil

Daniel Keenan O’Neil was born April 2, 1914 at Edgeley (N.D.) He was raised and educated in Edgeley. He graduated from Edgeley High School in 1932. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 1938. He served in the US Army during World War II. He married Helen Steinbrueck on June 20, 1949 in Mandan (N.D.). They moved to Grand Forks in1963, where he worked for the National Cash Register Company for 40 years before he retired in 1979. They moved to Bismarck in 1981. He was a member of Elks and American Legion. He died September 12, 1990 at the age of 76 in St. Alexius Medical Center. He is buried in the Mandan Union Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Bridgid) Harris, Denver (Colo.) and two sons, D. Kevin, Sidney (Mont.) and Sean, Grand Forks (N.D.).
