BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Dahlen (Dale) M. Jensen was raised on a farm near Kenmare (ND). He served overseas in World War II. After returning from military service, he met Dora Brown in Phoenix (AZ) and they married on Mary 24, 1949. As an electrician, he worked construction jobs in MI, NM, MN, ND, CA and CO, finally settling back in ND in March 1965. He purchased a small parcel of land near Bismarck, built a home there, and turned 5 acres of weed into prairie grassland. Dale and Dora remained there well into their retirement, when they sold their home to the Century Baptist Church and relocated to Rapid City (SD).

Dale enjoyed various hobbies throughout his life, including fishing, hunting, boating, golfing, Barbershop Quartet and photography. He remained active in churches wherever they lived.
Dale passed away on August 21, 2012 at a nursing home in Rapid City (SD). He is survived by his wife Dora Jensen of Rapid City; two sons, Robert D. and Shirlene Jensen of Hazen (ND) and Ronald C. and Susan Jensen of Rapid City (SD); his sister, Ada Paddock of Tacoma (WA), four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
