FORT TOTTEN – The public is invited to attend a Bead Working Class at Fort Totten State Historic Site on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in the Totten Trail Inn, located on the site. The class is free and all supplies will be provided. The participants will be creating a simple beading project during the class and are asked to pre-register by January 15 by calling 701.766.4441.
Built between 1867 and 1873 as a military outpost, the fort served for most of its history as an Indian boarding and community school, from 1891 to 1959.
