valley through which 59th infantry attacked

10895-Box 1-file 3-021.  Thru this little valley we advanced on July September 26 taking this little town and advancing on ovr  over the hill under very heavy fire in the attack of the 59th Inf. on that date. [Another copy of this photo bears this caption:  Across this little valley our outfit advanced on Sept. 26th, forced the Germans out of this small town and under very heavy fighting with hard losses on both sides.  After getting them on the highland they were chased for about 10 kilometers without a stop.]
