Mrs. Brainard are going east with the body.. – straightened my room some.

Sunday 29

Very windy.. and rained off and on . – home all day.

Friday 3

Mrs. Streetor and Spesiman spent the after-noon with us. Dan [her horse] came home with the picket and all about 3.45 so I could not get home until Floyd came up.. [two] weeks are gone.. - frost

Saturday 4

In the morning Mama & I drove up to Vandusens, Fassetts’ and Streetors on errants. & just got home when Mrs. Northrope came & children came.. In the afternoon I went in town - was to Mrs.Jenks - & the stores

Sunday 5

Quite windy but clear- Mrs. Northrope went home this afternoon I trimed her hat for her. - & in the afternoon Mr. Christensen came for me to go riding but I did not care to go – so he staid until 4:30 –

Monday 6

Cold and windy – started school for another week.. have ten schoolars.

Wednesday

Went horse back to-day, and have a severe cold & headache – Mrs. Van Dusen spent the day with Mama.

Friday

In the afternoon a short but severe rain storm appeared.. - & hail did damage north of us.. – the last day of the D. L. school.. – finished some lace I started Monday..

Saturday 11

Mrs. Northrope made her appearance at 11 ‘clock with baby = was glad to see her.. then she and Mam went in town & I gave her a music lesson. Which makes
Then I kept baby and ha supper for them when I came back..

Sunday 12

Very pleasant - & clear. Home all day & towards evening Mr. & Mrs. Jenks came out and took tea.. -

Monday 18

Clear & pleasant. This is my fourth wk. of school.. – drove Kenny - & finished my crazy top patch work for my pin cushion

Tuesday 14

Worked o[n] R’s white dress. – Kenny goes in the same time as one of the big boyes to school .. (Kenny the Indian pony)

Thursday 16

Rained steady all day heavest rain I ever saw in Dak. At once.. water has filled up every thing.. and if it had not rained in a few days things would have gone under

Friday 17

Slight rain to day .. – have now finished one month of school have four more .. I sent a letter to Cora - hope she will think it worthy to answer..

Saturday 18

Mr. and Mrs. Northrope drove up in time for dinner.. – in the after–noon I, & all (Mrs. N & M) drove in town - I returned Emma Hollens ink stand and visited with her for a few minuits then was up to Nellie Brainard’s she is getting along nicely while her mother is a way- Saw Nell Perry – and she was coming home with me, but Mr. Bell offered to take her down to R. Island and out to her school so she accepted him, - Saw Lotta Powell who is teaching in Cando.. – While at Budde’s store Mr. Huges treated. cigars

Clear, but some what windy: Mama & I went to church.. I wore my tan dress & m. wore her bonnet she bt yesterday and I trimed this morning, - after church was
