BISMARCK – The Bluegrass Association of North Dakota will be holding a monthly acoustic jam session at the Former Governors’ Mansion State Historic Site, located at the corner of Fourth Street and Avenue B in Bismarck on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 1 to 5 p.m. Musicians and the public are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be available. There will not be a jam session on Dec. 15.
Additional holiday events happening at the mansion include a public holiday open house to showcase the decorations on Sunday, Dec. 1 from 1 to 5 p.m., including a visit with Santa Claus from 2 to 4 p.m. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to talk with Santa. A holiday open house will also be held Saturday, Dec. 7 from 1 to 5 p.m. with entertainment and refreshments.
The Former Governors’ Mansion is one of 56 state historic sites managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Built in 1884, the mansion housed 20 chief executives of North Dakota through 1960. Admission is free.
