Abstract: Titled "Heimahagar- Homeplaces, " the oversize b/w photographs are part of a two way visual dialogue by Ingolfsson and Wayne Gudmundson - each examining the home of the other.  In 1994, Icelander, Gudmundur Ingolfsson photographed in locations where Icelanders originally settled in the later 1800s, including Minneota, Minnesota; Mountain, North Dakota, and the Interlake area north of Winnipeg, Canada.  Ingolfsson's home is in Reykjavik, Iceland.   See Mss 10809. The two collections are combined. The Ingolfsson photos are identified on the back with "IG".  Box 5 is duplicates.

Provenance: The State Historical Society of North Dakota acquired this collection from Gudmundur Ingolfsson in May 2001.
